INTERNAL: Superior Payment Quickbook Plugin - Receiving an Invalid Password Error

Description

Why is a merchant getting an invalid password error when setting up their Superior Payments Quickbook Plugin?

Resolution

When a merchant is setting up their Quickbooks plugin, it is not asking for their Merchant ID and Merchant Key. There is a step that the merchant needs to complete which involves registering with Superior and creating a username and password. This process is similar to the registration email for SMP. The registration link should have been provided to them by Superior.

It is best to conference the merchant with Superior at this step, but if Superior has no login credentials for the merchant than it can be handle in house too. Please manually generate a registration link for the merchant to resolve the issue. The general format to build a registration link is --

https://www.qbplugin.com/sage/index.cfm?m_key=XXX&m_id=YYY

-- with their MKEY in place of XXX and MID in place of YYY.

This will pull the needed information from Sage and allow the merchant to complete the registration process.
