How to process an international card in the Virtual Terminal.
Description
How do I process an international card in the Virtual Terminal?
Resolution
To process an international card in the Virtual Terminal, change the Country field to the appropriate value, and complete the rest of the form per usual.
Some addresses may differ significantly from the United States format; for example, there are countries that do not include zip codes in their addresses. Because a zip is required by the Virtual Terminal, you may need to enter a fake number -- many merchants use information from their business address in these situations.
Keep in mind that most international banks do not participate in the Address Verification System (AVS), which means that the address will not be verified. This may also complicate your AVS settings; for more information, please see: How to change the Address Verification (AVS) settings in the Virtual Terminal.
